BetterBusBuffers - Sample Analysis

This blog post walks the reader through several things BetterBusBuffers can do.

Bus frequency is Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti, MI

This Story Map shows the area served by the Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority (within a quarter mile walk of a bus stop) and the frequency of bus service they enjoy during different times of day. I created this map using the Count Trips in Polygon Buffers Around Stops tool in BetterBusBuffers. (Cartography and Story Map design by Jennifer Bell, Esri)

LA Metro frequency calculated for parcels in Los Angeles

This web app, created using Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS, shows the frequency of LA Metro transit service available within a quarter mile walk of every parcel in Los Angeles during morning rush hour. The transit frequency was calculated using the BetterBusBuffers Count Trips at Points tool (using parcel centroids) in ArcGIS Pro. (Cartography and web app design by Jennifer Bell, Esri)

Frequency of transit service at public libraries in Chicago

The map below shows all the Chicago Public Library branches color-coded by the frequency of public transit trips available within a quarter-mile walk between 10:00am and 6:00pm on a Monday. I created this map using the Count Trips at Points tool in BetterBusBuffers. TheĀ GTFS data is from the Chicago Transit Authority.
